The Old Library, Gourock
With help from the Community Places Fund, Creative Regeneration has breathed new life into The Old Library, turning it into a warm, welcoming hub. The space is now buzzing with after-school STEAM activities for kids, alongside gatherings for adults to connect and learn new skills.
How the Funding Helped:
Warm, Welcoming Floors: Damaged, cold vinyl was replaced with beautiful, hard-wearing timber flooring—perfect for busy group play while keeping the building's historic charm.
A Smarter, Greener Home: A new 13.5kW battery system will keeps the facility cosy without breaking the bank, storing cheap night-time energy to power daytime fun and cut carbon emissions.
The Impact: The Old Library has been embraced with open arms, already racking up over 900 bookings from locals coming together to learn, play, and chat.
