About Us
The Newark Trust is a grant-making organisation working proactively through relationships and local networks to identify and select projects and organisations to support.
It was founded in 2023 by the McLaren Family, the proud family owners of McLaren Packaging.
With the business having been founded by their father, Jim McLaren in 1979 and remaining in Inverclyde to this day, Donald and Michael wanted to support the community where many of their employees and their families live.
Donald and Michael are delighted to be joined by their mother , Jennifer, as Founding Trustees of The Newark Trust.
It is also important to the McLaren Family that their employees are able to participate in the Trust and this has been enabled through the creation of a sub-committee which can make suggestions and proposals to the Board regarding causes close to the hearts of those who work at McLaren Packaging.
